Buy 3 Board Games, Save 10%

The adorably 'thinky' game for 2 clever cats.

Every time you place a kitten on the bed, it goes “boop.” Which is to say that it pushes every other kitten next to it on the board one space away. Line up three kittens in a row to graduate them into cats… and then, get three cats in a row to win.

But that isn’t easy with both you AND your opponent constantly “booping” kittens around.

It’s like… herding cats!

Can you “boop” your cats into position to win? Or will you just get “booped” right off the bed?

  • Approachable but challenging abstract game and a worthy follow up to SHOBU.
  • Plays in 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Features a quilted, fabric board that lays over the back of the box, completing the miniature bed playing surface. 8 wood kittens and cats per player - 32 adorable cat pieces in all!

Boop

I ordered boop mainly to play with my daughter, who loves cats. It's a 2 player puzzle game, each player has 8 kitten pieces, and 8 cat pieces. The board is a quilted material, divided into squares. The players take turns in placing one of their kittens onto the board, trying to make a 3 in a row line. When this is achieved, the lined up kittens are removed and replaced with 3 cats. Lining up 3 cats wins the game. The puzzle aspect comes with the fact that placing pieces 'boop' adjacent kittens away 1 space in the opposite direction, so lining up 3 whilst preventing your opponent doing the same may not be as straightforward as it first appears. It plays quite quickly, our game took maybe 10 minutes, the board is nice, the kittens and cats are made of wood, and are cute. Overall well produced, quick little game to add to the collection.
I would also add that Athena dispatched the game very quickly on the run up to Christmas and it was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition

Great for kids and adults

I bought this as a gift for a 9yo, they love it, as do all the adults in the family. Picked it up quickly and as we’ve got more into it we’ve been able to get more tactical with the game.
Would definitely recommend this game, Athena have been brilliant too!
