Meet the Athena Games Team
Hello, I’m the “other” resident Chris, more often referring to myself as “Chris T”. I’m a bit of a jack-of-all-trades kind of player, currently dabbling in Age of Sigmar, Digimon TCG and board games. Although I’ve had experience in a whole host of other games (X-Wing and the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game are still a couple favorites!)
I generally prefer the more social aspect of games compared to the competitive. I love talking about the stories and lore behind the games themselves, and will enjoy a conversation about almost anything tabletop related. I’m very approachable so please feel free to come and have a chat!
Hey my name is Chloe, and much like a magpie is drawn to shiny things, I am drawn to little plastic soldiers. I am mostly invested in Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game (i.e it’s the majority of my assets) and love to paint them up! I have recently gotten into Kill Team and Necromunda, as well as enjoying Star Wars Legion!
Do other people have favourite Citadel Paints, or is it just me?
”Greetings traveler, Khajit has many wares if you have coin”
My name is Ella. The resident critter and creature/ monster enthusiast (my favourite being dragons). My favourite games to play are RPGs, like D&D, for which I enjoy painting miniatures. I also enjoy playing and collecting the cards of the Digimon TCG.
Next to me is our resident ‘night staff’ Nilbog, our friendly goblin, who watches over our RPG section.
While I consider myself a jack of all trades and a master of none I tend to specialize in some of the more obscure RPGs and board games but have found myself involved with competitive card games from time to time too.
If your game has an interesting world, strong narrative and/or rats in it, I am in!
Ahoy hoy, my name is Eimear and I’ve played literally hundreds of Roleplaying Games. I’m responsible for a veritable onslaught of new books on our shelves, so if you fancy trying a new system then there’s a world beyond D20s that I’d be happy to show you!
Chris E is our pint sized encyclopedia of all things gaming and he does it all with a smile. He is our resident war games expert and has recently become a Middle-Earth fan - not that we can blame him! With board games, Chris's current top picks are 7 Wonders Duel, Tiny Epic Galaxies and The Quacks of Quedlingburg.
He may not always be in the favour of the Dice Gods, but he will always be on hand with great advice and friendly demonstrations. Outside of gaming, his biggest love is a good cup of tea - just be sure to have sugar on hand as he doesn't believe he's quite sweet enough.
Good morning, afternoon and evening to you all! My name is Harry, the self proclaimed Phaeron of all things Necron here at Athena Games. But don’t worry, I haven't worked out Bio Transference yet!
For the most part, I am a player of wargames and the like at Athena Games, playing Orks and Necrons in 40k (whilst looking wistfully at the Adeptus Custodes and Black Templars), and Ossiarch Bonereapers, Lumineth and Maggotkin of Nurgle in Age of Sigmar.
I also play Warhammer Underworlds, Necromunda, Warcry, Dystopian Wars, Crisis Protocol, A Song of Ice and Fire, a splash of X-Wing and A LOT of DnD so if you have any questions about games involving tiny plastic men, then why not give me a shout? :)
Hey all my name’s Alex, and I’m the go-to person to talk to about our range of Trading Card Game (TCG) products. I’ve played most of the ones we sell, but at the moment I’m heavily invested in Magic: the Gathering, Digimon, and Cardfight! Vanguard. I’m always up for having a chat about a game, and give out a demo.
Hi my name is Mitchell and I am the manager here at Athena Games! Much like Sauron I have a one game to rule them all policy, and that is most certainly the Middle Earth Strategy Battle game, though of late I have been drawn to Marvel Crisis Protocol, who can say no to cyclops? As well as A Song of Ice and Fire, who doesn’t want to flay flesh right?
In my downtime I play a host of board games with one of my current favourites being Spirit Island, along with dabbling in Digimon. If you are ever looking to learn Middle Earth, or for a group to play a board game I am your man.
