Welcome to the Tides of War!
The format for this event will be four games of Middle-Earth with the total points value of your army decreasing as the day goes on, such is the cost of war! It's also nice to finish on the smallest points value so you can relax your brain a bit more.
Round One - 800pts
Round Two - 600pts
Round Three - 600pts
Round Four - 400pts
Lists for this event will be using the latest rules including FAQs put out by the GBHL and Games Workshop and we will be allowing Legacy lists. We will also be house ruling a few lists, these changes are listed below and please let us know if you have any questions regarding these.
We have made these changes to allow all the lists in the game to be playable at the event whilst removing rules that we do not feel fit with the feel of the game or create negative experiences for players, we are after all here to enjoy the game together :)
The following rules apply for lists -
You will need a copy of each of your lists so you can show your opponent.
You must select one army list and run that throughout the whole event.Your General for the 800pt list must be the General for all of your lists.
If your general is not a monster and you have no access to banners or banner effects in your lists then you may pay 25pts to make you general count as a banner within 3'', this will also count for vps. Radagast may never have this upgrade. Banner effects in all lists now count for vps, unless your general is a monster. This will need to be marked on your army list.
Depths of Moria - You must run either the Balrog or the Watcher in your lists
Changes to profiles/army rules -
The Eagles army bonus Piercing Cry is changed to the following
Once per game after determining priority The Eagles player may choose to do a Piercing Cry with Gwaihir. Whilst any enemy models are within 6'' of Gwaihir they become fearful. Reminder, a fearful model tests to charge and must test twice, once for fearful and once for terror if charging a terror causing enemy
The Dragon profile is also changed as follows for breath fire, if you take this upgrade it costs 1 will from the Dragons store to do this. The Dragons SV is also changed to 3+
In the Black Riders list change Black Dart to be casting range of 12''
Legolas suffers the -1 to shooting like all other models

This ticket is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 years or over. Athena Games takes no responsibility for children under the age of 18, responsibility shall remain with the parent or guardian of the relevant child at all times.
- No smoking or vaping is permitted at Athena Games.
- No snacks or drinks are to be brought into Athena Games. Athena Games will have food and drink available for purchase.
- The unauthorised professional use of photographic equipment is prohibited at Athena Games.
- Event details and timing are subject to change and should be checked prior to travelling.
- Athena Games reserve the right to conduct security searches to all persons attending the event and their possessions.
- Athena Games reserves the right to, at their sole discretion, refuse access to, or remove from the venue, without a refund any person who unreasonably refuses to be searched, is considered harmful, undesirable or offensive, or is deemed necessary to remove in the interests of security.
- Athena Games does not accept responsibility for personal property brought into the venue.
- Entry to the event is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Athena Games excludes all liability for loss, damage or injury suffered by an attendee howsoever caused.
- Attendees shall be responsible for and indemnify Athena Games fully for any loss or damage to Athena Games's property caused by the act or default of an attendee.
- Athena Games may cancel or vary this event (in whole or in part) due to events or circumstances beyond Athena Games's control. Where we cancel this event in its entirety, you will be offered a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- You have to let us know at least 48 hours before the event is due to occur if you wish to exchange or refund your ticket. After this time, the tickets are non-refundable however can be transferred to another player. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- If you are no longer able to attent the event and wish to discuss this with us, please us at contact@athenagames.com.
- Any complaints regarding the event should be made to Athena Games promptly before or during the event. Please raise any issues wth the tournament staff at the event, or otherwise by contacting us at contact@athenagames.com.
