Looking for a relaxed and fun way to enjoy the new FINAL FANTASY Magic: The Gathering set? Join us for our Saturday afternoon Prerelease—perfect for players who want a shorter event or are new to the game.
What is a Prerelease?
A Prerelease is a casual, beginner-friendly event where you open a special box of cards (called a Prerelease Pack), build a deck, and play a few games with other players. It’s a great way to discover the new set and enjoy the community!
What’s Included
- This is a Sealed format event, so no deck is needed beforehand.
- Each player gets a Prerelease Pack with:
- 6 FINAL FANTASY Play Boosters
- 1 foil, year-stamped Rare or Mythic Rare
- 1 deck box
- 1 spindown life counter
- You’ll use these cards to build a 40-card deck on the day.
- The event runs for 3 casual rounds—easy to fit into your day!
- This event uses a flat prize structure: everyone receives 2 additional Play Boosters just for taking part.

Terms & Conditions
This ticket is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 years or over. Athena Games takes no responsibility for children under the age of 18, responsibility shall remain with the parent or guardian of the relevant child at all times.
- No smoking or vaping is permitted at Athena Games.
- No snacks or drinks are to be brought into Athena Games. Athena Games will have food and drink available for purchase.
- The unauthorised professional use of photographic equipment is prohibited at Athena Games.
- Event details and timing are subject to change and should be checked prior to travelling.
- Athena Games reserve the right to conduct security searches to all persons attending the event and their possessions.
- Athena Games reserves the right to, at their sole discretion, refuse access to, or remove from the venue, without a refund any person who unreasonably refuses to be searched, is considered harmful, undesirable or offensive, or is deemed necessary to remove in the interests of security.
- Athena Games does not accept responsibility for personal property brought into the venue.
- Entry to the event is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Athena Games excludes all liability for loss, damage or injury suffered by an attendee howsoever caused.
- Attendees shall be responsible for and indemnify Athena Games fully for any loss or damage to Athena Games's property caused by the act or default of an attendee.
- Athena Games may cancel or vary this event (in whole or in part) due to events or circumstances beyond Athena Games's control. Where we cancel this event in its entirety, you will be offered a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- You have to let us know at least 48 hours before the event is due to occur if you wish to exchange or refund your ticket. After this time, the tickets are non-refundable however can be transferred to another player. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- If you are no longer able to attent the event and wish to discuss this with us, please us at contact@athenagames.com.
- Any complaints regarding the event should be made to Athena Games promptly before or during the event. Please raise any issues wth the tournament staff at the event, or otherwise by contacting us at contact@athenagames.com.
