Old fish, new scales

While the core functionality and rules of the army haven’t changed very much with this new book, small improvements have been made almost everywhere.

Where before it was an almost ‘eel or nothing’ approach to army building, this new book throws you a fleet of new options to get you hooked on almost any play style you want. Almost every unit has seen a stat line improvement - the thralls have now painfully good utility and every foot hero now comes with a 4+ save and a tasty 5+ ward.

The enclaves have been streamlined, so you’re no longer as shoe-horned into each and the tide rituals are impressively powerful and well thought out.

In short, you can take almost any combo of units in the book now and have a fun game with them. They reward strategy and experience a lot - and gaining that experience has just become a lot more fun.
