Legions Imperialis: Legion Fast Attack

One of my gripes about 28mm 40k & Horus Heresy was you could never run White Scars or large scale fast attack / cavalry effectively on even a 6 by 4 table and the practicalities of affording such an army were prohibitive.

But now Legions Imperialis has allowed me to build both a SoH's army which is thematically correct.

But even better I have finally, 30 odd years since I first wanted it, been able to build and field a White Scars Chorgorian Brotherhood.

The Jetbikes & bikes are extremely fast and manoeuvrable used properly they can let you obliterate opposing formations in close combat. The threat of them can also force your opposition to keep more forces protecting slow assets like artillery reducing their available attack options.

Land Speeders & Javelins pack effective anti-infantry and anti-tank punch. Again their speed should let your outflank your opponent and hit their thinner rear armour. Or make effective hit and run attack runs.

Finally, I love the return of the pop-up attack! Nothing like sniping over the top of the buildings your opponent thought were blocking line of sight. Just be sure you don't pop-up into range of dedicated anti-aircraft units or those fragile fast movers will crash and burn!

Beautiful minatures. Be aware I needed a minimum of three boxes for both my SoH & Scars to get the minimum number of units I wanted for my armies.
